Approximate dimensions: 8"h, 4"w, 4"D

This limited edition glass sculpture by Guyol for Cartier, numbered 16 of 500, features a whimsical cluster of clear glass mushrooms, each elegantly curved and individually detachable for modular display. Rising from a glossy black base, the piece measures 8 inches high by 4 inches wide and deep, and is etched with Guyol's signature and the date 1985.

Guyol, a Canadian postwar and contemporary artist born in 1935, is known for his refined glasswork and collaborations with luxury house Cartier in the 1980s. His sculptures often explore natural forms with modernist precision, blending clarity and light into sculptural expressions. This piece captures that ethos—playful yet composed, collectible yet quietly surreal.

A rare example of high-end 1980s glass art, and an early piece in the edition, it’s as much a sculptural statement as it is a piece of Cartier-associated design history.
